Capacity deliverability, reliability separate concerns, PJM tells FERC

Although the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator has told federal energy regulators that there needs to be more capacity deliverability between itself and the PJM Interconnection because of future generator retirements in MISO, PJM disputed that view Thursday.
MISO’s linkage of the capacity deliverability issue and generator retirements due to environmental rules is “tenuous at best,” PJM Senior Vice President Michael Kormos told the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in Thursday comments. …
