The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is out with a 60-point plan to fix holes in the state’s electric grid exposed in an epic winter storm and an early summer heat wave.
ERCOT published its plan, titled the “Roadmap to Improving Grid Reliability,” early Tuesday morning in response to Gov. Greg Abbott’s June 6 letter directing ERCOT and the Public Utility Commission to increase reliability. The plan doesn’t put a price tag on the broadly worded improvements.
It also came shortly before ERCOT interim president and chief executive officer Brad Jones is set to speak at a Texas State Senate hearing on the aftermath of the February storm.
