Coal, nuclear boost share of ERCOT energy supply in January
Coal-fired and nuclear power supplied a larger share of electricity in January in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas compared with December, while natural gas-fired and wind power supplied a smaller share, according to an ERCOT report released Wednesday.
However, wind power’s share of this January’s energy was substantially larger than it was in January 2015, according to ERCOT’s 2016 Demand and Energy Report.
