The California ISO has scheduled training web conferences on the Capacity Procurement Mechanism and the Bidding and Mitigation of Commitment Costs stakeholder processes on March 3 and March 24, 2011.

By the end of this training market participants will be able to describe the following:
–       The purpose of the Capacity Procurement Mechanism program
–       The reasons for the procurement of backstop capacity
–       The period of time that the ISO must retain and compensate any non-Resource Adequacy capacity that was issued an Exceptional Dispatch (as required by the FERC-approved Exceptional Dispatch provisions)
–       The changes to the Start-Up and Minimum Load Commitment Costs for generators

No registration is required.
